Is this illegal?

If I am getting a cage I might as well get a full cage... I don't care about a weld in cage on this car though, good idea or no?

This is too much... Plus without a helmet I could die from my head hitting it.

Why would it be illegal? Its saftey equipment.

Just put some foam or something around that part close to your head and youll be fine. Were going to do that on the cobra because if anyone got rear ended while sitting it the drivers seat your head would most likely swing back and make contact with a very hard and solid roll bar.

Yes it is illegal, you cannot have bars infront of the seats on a street driven car. Plus it's dumb as hell, if you get hit the chance of you hitting your head on a bar is good. Head + metal = concused or dead.

Plus getting a bolt in bar does nothing execpt for providing a place to attached harnesses. That bar doesn't bolt to the frame rails so it's not even really structural so there's no reason to get a full cage unless it's welded to the frame rails to provide structural regidity.

My bar is the same, they call it a roll bar but it's bolted to the thin sheet metal of the floor. These bars have been known to sheer through the floor in a roll so the only real purpose is for harness attachment.

We all need to get there super early so we can park together. I can't find our meet schedule but i'm pretty sure our first meet of the season is that weekend as well.
