As for the 22nd who all is planning on going? I would love to roll up there also. It is free to watch right? I'm probably not ready to hit the track myself yet.

Being that it's near impossible to find the ZHP I want in state I'm now looking at earlier year e46 M3s in the same price range. Seen anything interesting? As always, 6spd.

All I can say is that maintenance history is everything when getting an early e46 M3. I say that because with all the early e46 M3's there have been a number of vanos and subframe issues. People are finding them and then unloading the car before it causes a serious issue.

Also remember that maintenence itself is very expensive, the oil alone is around 90 bucks. This isn't a car you want to short cut on maintenence. If you want any info/tips on what to look for shoot me a PM with your cell number and we can chat.

I've owned a number of old 911s. I enjoy fixing things.

I've done all the work on my M3 as well but it's things like subframe fix?reinforcement (I did my own on jack stands and wouldn't want to do it again), vanos replacement (need to time vanos and cams), and a valve adjustment that get costly.

I want that airbox so bad. It's not so much that I just go the intake but I just got a tune which was upwards of 800 bucks. With that box I would have to buy a whole new tune, plus I'm done with power mods for a while. Now that I have R-Comps I'm guessing that I'm going to max out the oem brakes very very soon forcing me to pick up a bbk of some kind. I would also like to get a more race oriented suspension (JRZ or Moton). Those are my next big plans. I already max out the classes I'm in for NASA time trials and road racing so more power will just make things harder.
