I don't think you guys understand what I'm looking for. I'm looking for an e92 chasis with working motor/trans and that's it. I would buy the car and immediately ship it to BimmerWorld to have the car disassembled, blasted, caged, and returned to me. This would not be a street legal car at all, it would be an all out race car build.

I spoke with the salvage company yesterday and this meets all my requirements, it even runs.

Why would you get one in even that good of condition then? Why not a wreck or even a blown motor?

40k for a salvage, just to rip everything out of it seems pricey to me...

Why do you bother speaking to them if you don't got the money/are saving it?

I've got an offer for 30k for my car. I would take a loan out for the 12k purcahse price then turn right around and put the 30k back into the e92.

You don't get it Ruben, niether did Andy till I spoke with him on the phone last night. For me to be competitive in NASA GTS3 (I'm comparing this to the cars at the top of the class) I would need 5k in suspension, 4k in aero, and 5k in brakes. So that's 14k. Right now as it sits I'm about 5 seconds off the pace, I wish I could make that up with driver skill but sadly I can't. In this class and organization you have to pay a bit to win, it's sad but true. So back to the 14k, do you have 14k I can borrow because I sure don't. Not while I'm trying to get married, buy a house, kids, etc. etc. So the only way I will have a competitive car is if I do what I've talked about above.

It's not worth doing unless you can be the best.

The current bid is in bold... The motor may "run" but how well does it run?

Yea I totally missed that current bid for 12.6k, my bad. Skimmed over the repair cost for 40k and thought that was the price...

Very minor, the motor would be torn down anyways after it was removed from the car.

Bigger turbo is the key
