Lol I always said I couldn't buy a car sight unseen until I plunked down the cash for my 330 on ebay.

In other news, some ******* in a c-class just floored it from a stop on a patch of gravel and threw rocks all over my front end. Pissed carl is pissed.

Mercedes drivers.
That sucks. I drove down main at like 4pm and encountered many horrible drivers. When I was in Wisconsin this past weekend, I figured out that Wisconsin drivers are actually quite nice. Everyone lets everyone else in and all that. Its only the Chicago people with Illinois plates that screw with you.

I don't really get how the fisker looks so great. Reminds me of some current Spyker cars, and I don't like the way those like either. My taste in cars seems to lag behind by about..... ~5-10 years of whats currently being produced

Have you seen the "seats" that he uses?

Yea see I love the spyker. If I had 150 large to spend on a car I would buy one today, thought it would be a close one between it and the 911 gt3. The workmanship is just astounding, like no shortcuts (plastic, cheap materials) were taken. But its definitely an acquired taste. Its just another example of me preferring to be weird than actually having the best driving machine.

I hate that guy. And stance works. This whole "stance" thing just produces cars that are rolling monuments to mechanical ignorance. personal opinion of course.

Some of the cars look kinda cool. I would never have a car that low.

I couldn't have a car that low either, when I was slammed on race lands. I swear to god I would get panic attacks in parking lots. Speed bumps.. turn around. Busted my pan in a church parking lot. I was 45 degree angling everything. People loved it though, must be the new age. Love that camber!!! etc Got old really fast. He should have went with uber stiff springs.! 1k+

Sure they look cool, but I can't even begin to imagine the innappropriate wheel bearing loading on some of those cambered ones... Of course someone could definitely turn this around on me and say that my car is now a rolling monument to intake ignorance lol.

Try this one for size...

I agree on the Stance crap
Did it start by the vw guys back then?
The same people that started the "rusty look"?
It looks stupid and serves no purpose
Well, personal opinion also

I'm not sure if stance necessarily came from vw guys, but the whole tire stretching thing was definitely them. Lore would have it that in Europe they regulate the width of tires you can put on your car (don't know why), so if you wanted some fat rims you had to stretch. Eventually caught on, and tormented beads everywhere.

Came from multiple places. Also stretched sidewalls produced better skidpad results. Racing teams started stretching tires, tire manufactures made new tires that would properly fit on the wheels, then the teams would stretch the new tires. And repeat a few times.

Drifters like stretch because they can go lower, use cheaper and easier to find tires on their 11" wide wheels.

Yea, I just read that on some forum. I believe what I meant to say is that in Europe they say that you can't have tires outside the the fenders, so they had tires that weren't outside the fenders. But yea I'm pretty sure this is mainly legend.

I actually don't doubt the skidpad results. I think that since you're translating some of the sidewall stiffness from straight up and down to horizontal (sidwall is at a steep angle on stretched tires) it would prevent the tire from rolling. Just a guess though.

Gracias, it really is coming together. I should have the car back on the ground this weekend where I will start to adjust the Moton ride height. I may just break the bank and add some aero. It would really be the last bit to give me all I need.

Greg does not know yet and I hope he never finds out. He would go broke wrapping everything he could get his hands on.
