I guess Jet Moto an older username of his? But then that brings up the question of why did he change it to beamerK before selling it to me? Regardless, he isn't being forthright (well, I guess he is now after I forced it out of him) and he will never sell that intake on e46fanatics lol.

I seriously need my dad to sack up and pick something out so I can come home and drive it in the classic lol. Too much of a pain to drive/ship the 330 back.

So my car idles smoother without the maf plugged in....Does that immediately mean I need a new MAF?

My dad is in the same boat. He's decided on an E92 M3 with dtc, but we just need to find one. Its becoming more difficult than I originally intended.

Its only a 25 hour, 2000 mile drive.

I paid 450 for the "re-built" hub originally (the one that failed on someone elses car after 15k), I bought a brand new oem hub for 800 bucks today from Dr. Vanos. They were out of the cryo hubs and for me to get the car running by the DE and make sure everything was ironed out I need to get one ASAP. After the DE I will be sending the hub back to be cryo treated and have my vanos unit/pump 100% re-built (I already have a brand new solenoid).

The oem hub lasted some 80k miles. If I can get even another 50k out of this motor I would be more than happy.

I ask them about the cost. They buy them in orders of 15 at 700 bucks a piece then sell them for 900. The cryo treatment cost 50 bucks so they make about 150 a hub. He told me that they make their money on the vanos rebuilds which cost upwards of 1200 depending on what you have done.

The hub and cam timing tool will be here by Friday so I will have it installed by the weekend. No Fast Friday's for me though.

Aaaaand now my electric radiator fan wont shut off when I shut the car off, and the car wont idle at all. Sweet.

Jesus H. Christ....the damn electric fan is 500$ from Baron and 400+ from others, including Autotech.

Other potential issue is the temperature sensor on the lower rad hose, but I dont know how much water i'll lose if I take that bad boy out.

Well my electric fan failed pretty epicly, the electronic controller mounted to it was blown apart, swollen, and smelled like death.

Ordered a new MAF and new fan assembly, hopefully they're here on Monday!

Got em from auto hausaz for 250 each for fan and maf, just paid a lil more for shipping to have it monday.

Well driving my car very carefully without a radiator fan has been fun so far...Hopefully the new fan comes in tomorrow!

Just thought I would let you guys know I am officially moved now... finally got all my stuff to KC yesterday. Now the joy of unpacking everything

Well, got in my car today and it turned over twice, then started clicking. Its been cranking slow all last week, so atleast it gave out on me on a weekend. Battery was just low so I put it on the charger. Might have Kendle take a look at the alternator when it goes in for the sub-frame repair. Battery is about 3 years old.

It sucks doesn't it. You have to try your hardest not to get stuck in traffic. I finally got mine re-wired and running again.

And just another FYI, dont go through a tunnel-type car wash on a hot day if you have a questionable MAF, they go crazy.

So I paid extra for 2nd day shipping on thursday, and my new parts still wont be in till tomorrow...great.

I hate when that happens. If you look though, most companies have a 1-3 day processing time listed somewhere on there site.

Oh I know, nobody to blame but me for not blowing up the fan on a better day...Just hate paying that significant extra cost to try and beat a deadline only to have it still not make it, and therefore making my extra cost pointless.
