I just learned something. The outside of the O2 sensor is just as important as the inside, and they can be ruined by silicone based products.

Anyone good with photoshop. I want to see what the following two pics would look like with red wheels, red mirrors, and red wing endplates. If it looks good I may do the dash trim, seat backs, and roll bar in red as well.

The red should match the strip on the hood/fender. Thanks to anyone that wants to help.

Why red? I think the dark blue of your stripes would look better.

I would do the LSB color before the other one. Technically I believe the M colors are helrot, techno violet, and LSB. I don't know why the M badges are different shades.

Well, I missed Fast Fridays for the like 4th or 6th week in a row.... and I didn't go do the track day last wednesday because we were working on music. Tonight I was playing a consert at Grinders, and on wednesday we were preparing for said consert. That said, we did win the "battle of the bands" thing tonight

Its kinda difficult to make it perfect, espeically when the wheels are turning. The tool used works by taking the color present and changing it to a desired color. On white (or colors near white), which is the presence of all colors, the tool doesnt work at all. Conversely, on black, the tool works 100% -- changing the black to the desired color. Therefor, your wheels will look a little pink in a photoshop unless I do some really invasive and obviously fake editing. On ryan's car its super easy because his wheels are grey.

so what can you guys tell me about KH Automotive?

i've got an occasional slight hesitation at idle and around 3k rpm under load. thinking about throwing new coils at it, but not sure when the plugs were last changed either. i thought inspection II included plugs, but on the receipt i have from KH it lists all the fluids and filters purchased, but no plugs. there is a $480 line for labor, but all the work performed listed are the fluid and filter changes....at the $80/hr rate that certainly didn't take 6hrs.

also....anyone have an RTAB tool i can borrow? will probably be changing that out before i throw new tires at it.

I've never heard of KH Automotive. I go to AutoTech, off of shawnee mission parkway. Both my m3 and 330 hesitated under load... around when the vanos was adjusting alot. I think its just normal. If you want to try some things to help it then plugs / coil packs probably aren't a bad idea, nice and easy/cheap to do. At least better than an exhaust cam position sensor or vanos seals. If they are a shop that deals with bmw's regularly then I wouldnt be surprised if they just considered it an understanding that if "inspection II" was on the invoice, then the whole everything was done. Inspection II is technically Inspection I + some other stuff, IIRC. Things like the belts and the cabin air filter are supposed to be included. I would just give them a call to confirm that everything was done. Oh, and also, unless your car is at 100,000 miles, bmw doesn't call for a transmission fluid change. They consider it a "lifetime" fluid... Might want to look into that one.
