It makes me feel better hearing you say that. I think after hearing me ramble for hours you have a good idea of what im looking for.

I heard back from the guy whos car im really ingerested in. Oil changes every 5k and its before the inspection 2 so i would feel comfortable with that.

I doubt it has changed much since I was in high school, and back then high school was pointless. The only reason for high school was to get good enough grades to get into a decent college. That what you have already done. You need to tell your dad he needs to get his priorities right.

Andy, where are you going to college at?

I just spent the weekend visiting Colorado State University and The University of Denver. KU is still a very possible option though. 99% chance it'll be one of those three.

Your wanting to go into engineering right? Any idea what decipline? Not sure if you will rule it out just because you may be a KU fan or whatever, but Mizzou has a great program as does Rolla.

I would say Rolla is problably one of the best in the area and MU isnt far behind, but the town of Rolla blows haha... Columbia is pretty nice though.

Yeah, mechanical. I've been a KU fan since birth, parents both went there. It's in state and all.

Rolla is pretty respected in the mid west. Especially when you consider in state value. My best friend and his buddies have a house down there and they really, really want me to go there. I don't know if I could.

Well if its something you really want to get into just remember why you are going... Its a great school I cant even begin to think how many engineers we have at Burns & Mac that came from Rolla. Im sure the same is true for B&V as well. Cant beat a great education... something employers really recognize as well... plus being a smaller school there is plenty of partying im sure Night life meh idk Columbia would be better IMO....but MU > KU lmao

Im not sure if you ever met Shawn when he had his M3, but he did mechanical at Mizzou... I started with mechanical and hated it haha...

There's about 7500 at S&T. Only like 22% are females though . Yeah there's not much to do in Rolla. If its light out you can go for a drive or if its dark out you party. The 100 acre wood rally is this weekend and I'm going down for a few days. Will probably give my buddies one last chance to convince me to go there.

Be honest man it comes down to two things and two things alone. It's either who you know or how well you can market yourself in an interview. There's not a person in either company black in veatch or burn and mac that were hired simply because they had a 4.0 at the best college in the country. You can have a 4.0 and great grades and come into an interview and sit there like a stone and **** your pants and have a terrible interview and no one is going to hire you.

I went to Pittsburg State, had average grades, but can sell a bag of **** to your mother. If you can't sell your self and what you can offer to a person in an interview without shitting your pants then you better know somebody that can get you a job.
