So of you guys who is going to FF tonight?? Might need to ride with someone... as the car is still on stands I should get her done tomorrow during the DIY day I am having. Anybody plan on attending? I know Lee & another guy from STL are coming to do coilover install and RTABs. Kevin called me yesterday and he is coming for shits and giggles to hang out. I beleive he also called Ryan and he might be im not sure though. I would like to see his e36 though

I heard about the new ride. grats I've been climbing big ol mountains in summit county for the last 5 months. Back to work for 2 months then taking the rest of the year off until march. The car is no longer a priority in my life. Just steep deep snow.

He probably just needed some to get home. I always keep a quart in the car on road trips since they burn so much on the highway

I hear people talking about burning oil but not once did I ever have to add oil between oil changes. Never, and I drove my new M3 from Chicago to Colorado and the oil dip stick was the exact same when I got home as when I left.

Honestly I haven't observed much oil loss on my M3 either. However I absolutely had to add oil to my 330. That engine REALLY didn't like being run above 6k and I raised the limiter from 6.5 to 7k

I bet the hell out of my 323 and didnt have to add oil between changes. It would use a slight bit, but not enough to warrant adding any.

It depends on how far along in the oil change 'cycle' you are as well.

I know for a fact that my car eats a quart every 1500 miles or so when it's overdue for an oil change.

It uses next to nothing when the oil is fresh and gradually uses more as the miles rack up on the new fluid.

So question... I have square 18s (2 with **** tires mounted & 2 spare tires). I plan on taking my Works apart again and getting the lips refinished and cleared. So I need a set on the ///M while those are being refinished. Keep in mind I want something as far as a decent track set up. Here are my options:

1. Just put the OEMs on with some better tires and plasti-dip the wheels + (cost of tires)

2. Pay ~$400-$500 to get the 18s powder coated (assuming ~ cost)

3. Sell the OEM 18s + tires for ~$400-$500 and purchase a better lighter aftermarket 18" wheel.

#3 is most legit by far. Will be a bit more expensive.

When you get your car done be sure to tell me all about your new coils and bushings and mounts!

I agree most legit...but again most $$$ Its already going to run me about s little over $600 to get my lips re-polished & clear coated. Plus whatever option I go with as far as 18s Im gonna need tires so there is another $800. Then rotors & inspection 1 end of this summer....
