Well I've only ever driven on heartland and not many programs have that track. I did find one and tried it. The track seemed completely different so I pretty much immediately gave up and installed the program.

You should have a computer to run it to. Mine sucked.

They literally have tournaments with cash prizes and you will get banned or kicked out if you purposely wreck cars. Sh1t is about as real as it gets.

Like I said, this is what all the pros use.

Brad are you coming to town in mid august for the grand am / amls event at the speedway? If so then we all need to figure out tickets and stuff. I think the bmwcca was going to do something but I checked their website and didnt find anything obvious...

You guys not see my post a while back about the gamers not being allowed to race in the bottom class of some race series? They were "too good" for amateur class.

I think so. I have to work Friday so I will probably leave after work which means I will miss the Conti race. Sucks, I wanted to BS with James a bit but the Rolex race is where all the good racing is anyways. Good news is if I do come I'm going to be driving the MMMMMMMMM.

As for tickets, I think they are just general admission......so no real reason to buy them together.

I will talk with the wife and figure our 100% if I will be going.

You guys need to look into BimmerWorld's production V8 M3 taking on the Ultimate Track Car Challenge at VIR today. 315 hoosiers on all four corners with a 3.6L stroker. Sh1t is madness.

That sucks man. Look at it this way, when this is all over you should be good to go in the braking category.

well... untill my calipers need to be rebuilt. they're doing weird things. Since my car has had brembos I have no idea how old my calipers are... but yeah other than that I should be done..

last night I got to reading about the catastrophic engine failures with the bearings and vanos. My car had the bearing recall done... but I still think its just a question not of "if" but "when" for those two things... especially for my car.

I should have done the blackstone labs oil analysis at last change, but I was rushing to get it done for a track day

I think I'm going to have him do a compression/leakdown test. I don't really want to hear bad news but I gotta know...

edit: he talked me out of it and said get it dynoed again first

The Vanos isn't a terribly expensive fix/maintenance item. I plan on bullet proofing mine this winter with a combination of Beisen Systems and Dr. Vanos goodies.

As for the bearings, James once told me that for an S54 that sees significant track time they should be replaced as a maintenance item every 50k miles or so.

Any of you guys plan on doing anything this weekend?

Im thinking I need to pull off my driver side rotor. I swear I think its warped or bent... even when I installed it when I spun it a few times it looked and sounded as if it had a small tweek to it if you will. Other than that I did get my Vibra-Technics transmission mounts/bracket in the mail. So I might do that...

Also and finally... got me some goodies from Chemical Guys for a nice car wash

I might have to do that Blackstone Labs you guys have been talking about. I have read about them before, but never used them. I think ~2 months I will be doing all my hub bolts, oil change, etc.... you know all that fun stuff so I think I might have to send them a sample then.

Devak and Ryan were asking me if I had an impact to do Devak's suspension. So they might be over here on Sunday. Not sure yet.

Otherwise I hope to get my shocks and struts mounted saturday.

There's a meet Sunday at swope. I was going to make an appearance there.

That would be really disapointing if that new DD rotor was warped...

You have an e46...............you sure you're allowed at those meets. Not to mention you don't have stretched tires, plaid stickers, flat rattle can paint, and parts on your car that aren't from the salvage yard.
