I say listen to some videos and go to some local meets and try to find someone that has the exact exhaust your looking for to get a feel of what you want.
It all comes down to personal preference in the end, no one can tell you what you will like or not. |

Will your Bimmer be louder in the cabin...yes, but in most cases it will be totally acceptable.
I really like the way my Magnaflow catback exhaust sounds. HP, if you install headers with your full exhaust, you will pick up usable WHP that you can feel. Good luck,

unless u have a very low tolerance for exhaust sound, you will be fine. I did a resonator delete with a performance muffler, and its still very quiet. my brothers stock 350z is louder.

by all means DON'T pay an absurd amount for some cookie cutter exhaust. your just paying for a name! get a y pipe 2.5 to 3.0 and do 3 inch pipe all the way back. everyone knows the best muffler is no muffler! hp > rest

I found that the least expensive way to get more tone from your car is to do a muffler delete. There are many threads of opinions on this topic. Unless you have a turbocharged/supercharged engine, the power gain will be almost non-existant. Just my HO. Chas
