I want one in either silver or black for my car but I would hate to install this onto my car right now without repainting my car first

Yea, I am really glad Daron (w0w) was the first car. I really dig gold and black. I had it on my E36 back in the day as well.

It is fairly straight forward. Apply some soapy water, and then move it around until you like where it is, let dry, and then peel off the backing paper. Finish it up/off by trimming off the excess, and you're done.

Depends if you want a more aggressive look (black) or a more subtle look (etched glass, which basically just diffuses the color of your paint).

Etched glass is very hard to take a picture of, since it's fairly light. However, you can imagine it similar to scotch tape, or like a similar semi transparent film.

That's etched glass. Though it's really hard to make out in pictures or to photograph.

Yes I can.

The front 3 rows will be red, next two rows purple, and then the last two rows will be the light blue.

Nothing specific for it, although you can try using either the E36 or E46 ones that I have.
