Your car is an autotragic... If you are asking people to make fair offers you should start with a fair asking price.

just as a comparison, I had an opportunity to get a car with similar options but '04, however with 24K miles at $21000 at a dealer... so... that's probably the best you gonna do.

Sorry dude.. I strongly disagree with your asessment about the auto tranny. The ZHP has become a cult car, as time goes by you will always be better off selling it yourself instead of a trade-in. I would say that vast majority of the people that would be ok with an automatic ZHP would be ok with a Sports Package 330i which will be selling for far less in the future.

Guys, I hate to bring it up, but my brother just bought a perfect shape, 84,000 mile, 2005 ZHP with all service records (including the window sticker), for $12,500!!! I know the 6spd is more desirable than the automatic, but in the long run, an auto will bring a higher trade value at a dealership (since the auto was a $1300 option), and probably easier to sell. He can sell it as a "regular" 330i to a soccer mom who could care less about the ZHP.

Asking mid to high 20s is insane. For that money, I'd look at a newer Mercedes C300 or Lexus IS350.

I seriously doubt that the automatic will make it harder for my brother to sell it in oh...2015 or so.

Are you referring to the 06 AW w/ Alcantara 6spd coupe in Florida?

I saw a really mint condition Mystic Blue 06 in upstate NY last summer. That thing was a beauty. Most of the ones I see now are automatics.

I think this thread encouraged a few ZHP for sale posts. There are like six on the front page right now.

It won't be hard if his expectations are realistic about the price. Gear heads wanting ZHP in particular are more likely to be manual only guys (girls?). The fact that auto was a $1300 option is completely irrelevant. The same reason why he got the car for 12K will remain 5 years from now.

What if a one-legged zhp enthusiast sees his ad? eh? eh?

Heres a good AW 06 zhp with only 38k miles for $20k i found in Atlanta's craiglist but it says Greensboro, NC:

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/1641851513.html

For $20k it doesnt get better than that.

That car is sold.

I was a legitimate and serious ZHP buyer. However owners' value expectations are unrealistic, so I'm buying a used E92 335i. For $28k with 25k miles, it's a hell of a better value than an E46 ZHP with 40k+ miles.

And yes, it's the owners that are unrealistic, not me. If your car has been for sale for a year, you're the problem!

No, not that one. By the way, do know anything about the FL car? I was thinking about checking it out but I know what FL weather can do to a car so I was trying to stay away from FL cars.

Craziest ****ing ZHP ad I have seen in my entire life. You want over 50% MSRP for a 7-year-old car? I am pretty sure that would be the highest residual value of any car sold in 2004?

Someone needs to just buy some mainline 330i's and put new bumpers and big wheels on them and sell them for double the price.

Has nothing to do with the car; it has to do with the fact that you don't have a job and you're still demanding a collector's car price.

A 2006 ZHP 6MT coupe in great condition is a good deal at $20k. No ZHP should trade for more than $20k today, not in a market where you can get an E46 M3 with under 40k miles for $22k ('03) to $27k ('06).

A 2005 M3 with 43k miles sold in Richmond last week for $23k. How can you justify asking more than that for a ZHP sedan with more miles?

I didn't find your price particularly absurd. What I found particularly absurd was that you are asking a high price, you claim to be firm on the price, and yet you're unemployed, which for most people is a financial stress.

Good luck finding just the right buyer.

Yep, seeing as though he bought it at almost a standard 330i price, he'll likely sell it at standard 330i price.
