FYI, I just picked up a car virtually identical to yours in color, options and condition and with 11K less miles for 18900. And I consider that a "top dollar" deal.

My Ride: is paint code 300!
Thumbs down

Why are there so many freakin haters in here?

I purchased my car with 22k on the dash, and you know what, I paid a lot for my car. Do I regret it...absolutely not...

As others have said in here, there is no doubt the M3 is faster. However, cost of ownership will be more in the long run. Even insurance will be more with an M3.

If you don't like the ZHP, in which case you probably don't own one or have ever been for a ride in one, then GTFO..

Can't believe the prices some of these regular 3 series are going for aka 330s with the performance package that adds a whoping 10 hp and some alcantra LOL... and then justifying the price by saying the maintenance costs less, well no sh*t its a regular 3 series... you guys are probably the same people saying they are rarer than an m3 and therefore more valuable.

Correction: prices they are asking for. Those cars aren't selling.

I've seen at least 10 or so ZHPs that have been listed on Autotrader for 2+ months because the prices are simply too high. And the prices haven't budged.

And the owners stand firm on price even when presented with a logical argument on relative value...

Here's a car I missed out on by a few days because I was traveling for work. CPO, LOW mileage, coupe, great color (IMO), MT, 20 minutes from my house—all for $22,000!

This was just a few months ago. What we currently have (its called price gouging) is a case of sellers taking advantage of a few buyers that know what they want, regardless of common or varying opinion. What they want, however, as stated above, is not that common, so we have to deal with the situation until the ZHP furor dies down. Its ironic that posting WTB ads eventually leads to higher prices...

Yea like I said, with the prices these guys are asking, you're getting close to the 08 Mercedes C300 and 06 up Lexus IS350 pricing. Both of these cars are fun to drive as well, are probably still under warranty, require very little maintenance, and are way newer.

My Ride: 2005 330Ci ZHP
Good luck finding an Alpine White ZHP. I seriously looking for 3 months before I found my ZHP. I had to make some sacrifices but I bought my ZHP on 02-25. I work for a dealership and I had the buyer looking all over the country through BMW Financial Auctions and only came across 1 around mid January (2006 BMW 330Ci ZHP, Jet Black/Black Leather with Silver Cube trim, Auto, 26000 miles, No Nav, No Heated Seats. It sold for a little over $20k. I let it pass because Black was my 4th choice and because I wasn't fond of the Silver Cube trim. That Jet Black ZHP is now listed at a BMW dealership in Southern Cal for $29900. 2 weeks later my car broke down and I was starting to regret not picking that ZHP up. No luck finding any ZHPs after that at the sales. I checked AT and Cars.com periodically and no dice finding any AW or Silver Gray ZHP coupes. At this point my brother was saying he wanted his 92 civic back (I was borrowing it). I logged on to Cars.com on Valentine's Day and found a 2005 Sparkling Graphite ZHP coupe, Gray Leather with Black Cube trim, Auto, 58500 miles, No Nav or Heated Seats. The ZHP was being sold by a non-BMW dealership (had to be a trade-in) 14 miles away from me. SG was my 3rd choice (AW 1st, Silver Gray 2nd) but at this point I needed a car and I wasn't going to let this one pass by and wait a few months for another one. I took a trip to the dealership and saw the condition and test-drove it. Everything seemed good but I said I didn't like the color and left. The next day (Monday) I called the local BMW dealership to get a vehicle service report. The ZHP ended up being a CPO until 02-2011 and had all the recalls and maintenance done. I called the dealership to make an offer and they told me to come in. We haggled for half-an hour that evening and I left without the car. KBB retail was $23500 and KBB Trade-in good condition was $16300. I was offering $16000 and then increased to $16500. About a week and a half later I sent them an email offering $18888 out the door (taxes, license fees all inclusive) and they accepted. The sale price was around $16994. All I can say is I am very happy I pulled the trigger (even though sometimes I wish I had a MT). As a bonus, my ZHP has almost new brakes and Michelin Pilot Sport Tires all around and also has OEM bluetooth and has a Dice Silverline Kit hooked up already (minus iPod/iPhone docking cable, I paid $38 on ebay).

EDIT: I paid $150 to refinish 3 wheels (due to curb rash of previous owner) and I fixed the rear rattle with a detailed DIY on this forum (took about 20 min). The condition is a 9.5/10. I don't think I could have done any better under my circumstances.

$16,994 for an '05 ZHP is a reasonable price!

Also, there's an Alpine White 330Ci ZHP for sale right now in Franklin, Tennessee, on Autotrader.
