Need autocross wheels for M3.
I would like to get another set of wheels for my M3. These wheels are going to be specifically used for Autocross, so I would like smaller diameter wheels so that the tires won't be as expensive.
Will any 3-series wheel fit my car? Are the width of the 3-series wheels much smaller making the transition worthless? Would I be better off trying to find some stock 18" wheels (I currently run the stock 19's?) What wheels are you all running?

I believe you do get a few extra points for decreasing your stock tire diameter. (I think you need spacers in the back to run non-M wheels but don;t quote me on that).

Run four identical 17x9s with spacers where you need them for clearance. Run some 255/40/17 Hankook RS-3s if you want street tires. Go crazy with some 17x9.5s and 275/40/17 Kumho R compounds if you have more cash to burn.
