Vandalized!

Ok so this is more of a rant than anything productive but I'm sure some of you guys can commiserate with me on this... So I get off my commuter train last night and walk out to where my car was parked to find that some crackhead had RIPPED THE WINDOW OUT of the driver's door. Must've stuck a shim under the seal and snapped it off. Found it laying next to the bumper in front of the car (which looked like it had been kicked in). They then proceeded to ransack the interior and break open the glove box (which was locked). I had nothing of value in the car (to a crackhead at least), and the only thing missing are two one dollar bills. That's it.

All in all, this'll end up costing me like 300 bucks and a months worth of repairs at the body shop (oh, because thy also put a few nice dents and scratches along the driver's side too). Hope it was worth the two bucks, pal.

I second that, its an awful thing to do. I once had my drivers side mirror kicked off because someone was having a bad day.

why do you think it was a 'crackhead'? Probably just a criminal.

Lots of people just leave their convertible doors unlocked so they won't destroy your top. Hopefully said crackhead would have the courtesy to check the doors first! Sorry about your experience.

Yeah in all honesty crackhead is probably a bit off base. Criminal works just fine. The truly ridiculous part is that I only drove the car to the station this week because my bicycle was stolen right off the bike rack LAST week, and I'm waiting for the new one to arrive. Unreal.

The cop was like, "look buddy I'm gonna be honest- there's really no chance we're going to be able to find the guy that did this. But for what it's worth, I feel for you. That's a nice car".

On the plus side, my rental looks like an undercover cop car- blacked out new model Taurus. It'll make passing in the left lane a bit easier in the short term.

Most criminals are crackheads. Their addiction leads them to criminal behavior. That should be RELATIVELY obvious..
