Magnaflow Exhaust Build ?
So i have a 323i and have both resonators deleted. I was gonna go with magnaflows 14815 but decided I wanted a cleaner look so the muffler wouldnt show, I have a stock rear and think seeing a big muffler in the back would kinda look wack.
So my idea was this... I know 323's have dual pipes from the headers and then run into a single, so i was wondering if i could run a magnaflow dual in/out muffler from where the dual pipes from the headers come down and then have both pipes run to the back where the stock muffler was....ive seen on other posts people running magnaflow 11378, but only on 330's which has dual pipes all the way back, Are 323 dual pipes the same size as 330 and 325's? If not, does anyone know what size they are? Also on the 11378 the pipes seem farther apart then the ones on the car, how are people running this? Any help would be great, Thanks

2.25 IIRC, for 330... I'd run neither i'd get a Y pipe from Jegs.com and work the exhaust from there.

I have a y pipe now from the header duals to a single 2.5 pipe to the rear muffler...any other help..? anyone?

thanks but not a huge fan of the muffler delete sound....and emission laws in cali are stupid strict so it wouldnt pass...can anyone help me with the questions i asked?

I apologize if i took your thread in the wrong direction. I agree i hate he muff delete what i was speaking of was deletion of all ome exhaust. no muffler no cats no resonator nothing just headers to Y pipe to tail pipe. Again i apologize for taking your thread in the wrong direction. free bump!!!!

Why not just buy the Magnaflow 330 exhaust and have an exhaust shop make bolt in adapters? It's really simple, it'll fit, it's a great exhaust, and it sounds damned sexy.
Or, if you're going to run headers anyways, pick up 330 headers, and the Magnaflow exhaust will bolt right up, no modifications.(for the guy above me mainly)

The place I went to welded a pipe that went over the car's stock pipe and the muffler's inlet pipe. I'm currently running a magnaflow muffler with the rear resonator deleted.

\\\\\=>---------------{ }= Your exhaust system should look like this: headers to a Y pipe (about 6-12inches back) to a single 2.5-3.0inch pipe and then your muffler of choice.

That black 330 is sick do u have a shk back bumper or is that aftermakert.and wat kid of black is that on ur 330.
