Rim repair I can't help you with but I know Motorwerks have a guy they use.

I've used Minneapolis Enameling before to powdercoat a receiver for my target rifle and some exhaust tips for my e82. It's a bit of a drive south of the city but they do quality work and can handle the sand blasting for you.

Agreed, you can't ask for much when the car will get dirty as soon as it leaves the wash.

Didn't get around to getting the monthly deal but I will tonight...I hope.

Anyone ever try out First Gear Garage in Eden Prairie?

It does if you run it through everyday and not any salt get on it.

But seriously though I dont really care about the dirt, I have a silver car it doesnt show, it gets the salt off! With the holiday thing you can go to any holiday carwash if you want to get a touch carwash..

Who knows how to replace a trailing arm on E46?

I went to Holiday last night to get this sweet $15/month thing and the guy had no idea what I was talking about.

Maybe I should try another Holiday since my dark blue car is beginning to turn white.

First-time poster in this forum - just joined here after being on Bimmerforums. Nice to be around so many people who appreciate a well-crafted machine (and so many XI drivers as well!)

Can anyone recommend a good bodyshop in the Cities? I live in Downtown St. Paul so I'm fairly centrally located. Bought my CPO 325xi at Sears back when it was Sears and now that it's BMW of Minnetonka, I get nothing but bad vibes. Huge showroom which is cool I suppose, but all prices are out of whack. Even my salesman Endre stayed on the MB end. I have some fairly routine maintenance and things I'd like to get checked out, mostly my Power Steering gaskets and hoses (I know I can DIY this too) and I'd like to find a good mechanic. Don't get me wrong, BMW of Minnetonka does good work...but you're REALLY paying for it.

Again, glad to be here. I look forward to turning my crappy, stock XI into one of the machines I see in everyone's signature...

I've used Wayzata Collision before and had good results. Price wise they are between an Abra and BMW of Minnetonka.

I'll have to give them a try.

Just gave the whole thread a read-through...glad to know I'm not the only one who's noticed a change in the Minnetonka BMW staff. The crew at Sears always seemed fair and went out of their way to make sure I was happy with everything; the people left at Sears are still doing that for MB (wife has a C320), which is absurd since I think MB owners by and large will just sign any kind of payment without looking at what they're actually getting...

Anyway, while the dealership itself is beautiful - the service leaves something to be desired. I have two friends who've bought CPO's from Motorwerks and left with great experiences, so I may be going there for my next car. Of course, with this economy, I'm going to try to do everything I can to drive my E46 past 200K...which is where this forum comes in

Hey Guys,

Due to the subfreezing temperatures and holiday weekend, it's been decided to postpone the dyno day until springtime. Standing in 26* all day would be quite hard, hah

BMW of Minnetonka blows, the only reason I go there is because their dealership is huge and looks nice, and its closer than Motorwerks. I also haven't found Motorwerks' staff to be exceptional either, they are okaayyy...
