I'm looking for a set of style 44 wheels. Just wondering if anyone local has a set they are willing to part with.

Well the good news is that Seth at jbeurotech definitely knew what he was talking about when he told me that I have a head gasket blown between cylinder 5 and 6. Bad news is my 328i will still be torn apart on may 1st.

I'd be interested in a set of OEM 16" rims (any style) for winter tires. PM if anybody has any they're looking to get rid of. Curb rash OK, but should be in good shape otherwise.

So there's a new shop in town that I just tried out in St. Louis Park (France and Excelsior). It's called Bavarian Motors and it's a little tiny shop with only two guys specializing only in BMWs (old techs). I just had a sway bar end link installed there and they were great, I would highly recommend. The guys were really friendly, did great work, and even let me watch while they did it and gave me some pointers on how to do stuff on my own. Even installed the part I brought them!

Just thought I'd give a shout out to anyone who's looking for some work to get done.

Holman Automotive in EP

Just picked up my Exploder from Holman Auto in Eden Prairie today... this is the second time I've used them and the prices are extremely reasonable and the quality of work and service is excellent. Most importantly, you don't feel like you're getting jerked around... fairness and honesty is really their game.

Mike (owner) always comes out to greet me when I pick up the car and gives me a full rundown on the work done, and isn't afraid to talk tech with those who want more explanation. He never pushes more than is necessary and never seems incentivized to fleece you for more or ancillary services.

I just found out today they do a lot of work on BMWs and Audis, so if you're looking for basic mechanical repair (water pumps, suspensions, etc.) I highly recommend them. I'll have to lean on them a little to see how they fare with more hairy stuff that a BMW specialist may be normally sourced for.

They're buried in a strip mall on the SW side of Eden Prairie Center, 3 doors down from Tires Plus.

Well at least you got it all torn down!!! The good news is you know that that will fix the issue. If I remember right you had bounced around a few shops giving you inaccurate diagnostics.
