wow....dude is that bone!!! - Hard Core!!!

Sick bikes in this thread....just got back into biking about two months ago...picked up a full squishy and been doing around 20 miles a weekend since. So addicting and can't get enough. Plan on registering for a race in December, so I am in Training mode now.

All I can say is wear protection...in more ways than one...

Here she is....already want to get another ride.....bikes are so addicting

Yeah, I am really surprised he rode down the rest of the way, that's a gnarly trail!

Here is my old baby. Spot SS, this was made in canada so it is the original spot. Mix of parts and stuff on it. It is back to a rigid bike again, got tired of suspension again.

And here is my new baby

It is a custom BS bikes out of california, a couple friends of mine started the company up a while back, so far they have done about 80 frames. All steel, true temper tube sets. This frame we decided to try out the ISP idea and tweaked the design around just a little bit. Built kit is as follows. I tried to as much american as I could without breaking the bank. It is 29er, and no plans for suspension any time soon.

BS Bikes Frame
Salsa Fork, suspension corrected. (will be replaced by a BS fork in the future)
King Headset (USA)
White Industries Hubs, Cranks, Chain Ring, Freewheel (USA)
Hadley BB (USA)
Phill spokes and nipples (USA)
Oury Graip (USA)
Sun Rims (designed USA.....)
Kenda Tires (they have a USA office)
Ritchey stubby cap (Tom is american)
Fizik Gobi saddle (ummmm... I like Italy?)
Avis Elixer disc F/R (Avid use to be a cool american company)
Sachs Chain (Germany?)
Currently Time pedals, but they might change
Bar/Stem are spare parts I had until I figure out what I want, the stem will end up being a BS stem, bars....not sure yet.

So I had this built up today. This is the third bike in my stable. I sold the Surly 1x1 26er and replaced it with a Surly Karate Monkey 29er. Built it up as a single speed bike. I am now officially addicted to ss. Some phone pics

Surly steel Karate monkey frame
American classic wheels
Surly steel fork
Specialized fast trak tires
Thomson stem
Avid bb7 brakes
Surly open bars
FSA seat post
Velo saddle
Truvative crank
Exustar pedals
Ritchey grips
Cane Creek headset
Surly 18t cog

LOL thanks!

Forgot to add a couple of things.

The cages are King SS (USA)

No stickers yet because I forgot to grab them the other night, and we are going the send the bike down to a local old school pin stripe guy and have him do some work to it. It will end up with a white stripe down the ISP, top tube, headtube, down tube, then it will finish off by saying BS Bikes. He might do some other stuff to the seat tube, but we will see how creative he gets.

No stickers, love the clean look!

Wouldn't change a thing, maybe try a white seat.

Hey guys,

I need some help with picking out a bike. I am trying to decide between the specialized camber expert: http://www.specialized.com/us/en/bc/...nuItemId=14872 and the Trek Fuel EX8: http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes...el_ex/fuelex8/
Cost is neglible difference but the big difference is front fork, drcv in the trek, and suspension design (FSR vs ABP). Which do you guys like? I have ridden both in the parking lot and both felt good. The LBS does not have an expert that I can take on a demo only the EX8. I will be doing 50-50 riding fireroads and singletrack. Any reasons to go for one over the other?

Thanks,

Josh

trials bike

I'm looking at building a trials (ish) bike soon. I want something light, single speed, rigid, etc to play around on, but also need to retain some ride ability so that i can commute to school on it. Anyone into that kind of thing?

BIANCHI MTB JAB 7400 ALU XT/SLX 10SP 2011

SCOTT SCALE 60
http://cykelexperten.dk/cms/modules/...71,232&id=2561

PRINCIPIA MXC TEAM 11
http://cykelexperten.dk/cms/modules/...ath=57&id=4044

TREK 6500

They are all around 1,800-2,100 so its kinda hard to decide for me. Can you guys look at the specs and tell me which one has the best? Sorry for the Danish links, but the spec section is in english :p
