I did a search for "noob" and got some good hits, you can also try terms like "entry" etc, feel free to ask any follow up questions you may have.

Most of the in-depth discussion happened in the first few pages when Ara was trying to find a bike

Not bad! That's a trail worthy bike. Time to cover it with dirt. Are you gonna use it for XC riding? If so I recommend to get clipless pedals asap.

If it's been a while since you got on a bike, any saddle will feel like that. Ride it a few times and you'll get used to it. Your seat also seems to be tilted upwards. Get a level and adjust it. It should be straight.

feel so guilty and stupid, haven't biked in so long, went to my dad's pumped the bike's tires up, lubed the chain, gonna go out for a 60 k ride with my dad this week, i've been too busy and work weekends so it's really hard to bike. Part of me says i should have never bought it, another part says a good bike will last a long time so eventually when my schedule relaxes i can bike more often

Wtb makes damn good saddles for the money. In fact I own a wtb rocketV myself. Stick to it a couple of rides and see if it gets any better. Saddles are a very personal choice though. What may be good for one may hurt another's bottom.

I really like the way the tray looks, I have a Big Mouth carrier now, but this just looks more updated

Yeah it does look look more modern. I didn't want to put bike carriers on the E46 but after seeing these, I changed my mind.

Would you guys recommend buying a used 2009 Fuji Nevada 1.0? My neighbor says he's only ridden in 5 times, and it looks to be in pristine condition. It feels a bit heavy, and after research it is 32lbs.

What do you think of this bike? The terrain it will see is probably light trails, mud, streams, gravel.. No mountains in my area but a good amount of easy trails.
