used to be...

... a story about some great driver, was it Sterling Moss? He could climb into anything unfamiliar and within a couple laps be totally competitive.

I saw a film from the Shell Library from the pre-WW2 GP races. Tazio Nuvolari was nearly winning the race running on a bare steel rim while sitting on a fruit box! He may have had pneumonia as well at the time!

Why we are having so many problems driving on what amounts to some very peaceful, easy, undemanding streets... IDK.

What does this post have to do with anything? IDK.

I hope there is a bona-fide, genuine mechanical problem to be found...
And, I'd like to hear what it was.

I threw up a little in my mouth when I heard that Mario A. and AJ F. tied for the Sports Illustrated Driver of the Century title. The ONLY reason Tazio N. didn't win was because almost NOBODY knows who he was and what he could do in an automobile. I have seen footage of him sawing at the wheel, with his elbows OUTSIDE of the cockpit, throwing his car into perfect 4 wheel drifts 100+ feet before corners and sliding thru the apexs cleanly and in TOTAL control. Tazio was an absolute artist behind the wheel.

What does it mean if I have to do this to go into every gear, almost every time?

So I dropped off my car at the dealer yesterday morning and got a call later that night and the service advisor said I may need a new clutch. He said that they are still looking into it so it maybe something else. My guess is they looked up bulletin in the first post and saw clutch problem and need to check all the possible causes now. So my car is a 2005 zhp w/53k CPO warranty and the clutch does not slip or show any kind of premature wear. So there has to be a defect right? On bmwusa.com it says BMW CPO does not cover wear and tear; clutch and clutch assemblies. What you guys think. Will it be covered since its defective?
