info on subs??

its about time i upgrade my system in my car. i like to know as much as i can before i start buying. can anyone give me tips on different types of sub setups?

ie: boxes, open air, different types of boxes?

links would be great on stuff about this.

JL Stealthboxes are open-airs that bolt in. If you want an enclosure, depends on how many subs you want and how much trunk space you want to give up. Search the old threads and you'll find a lot there.

Also, on different enclosure types, look on the JL Audio (www.jlaudio.com) website.

Yes, I have them, and they are marked improvement over the stock system. Good bass is in the ear of the beholder, especially if you want to shake windows for a 1/4 mile radius. Stealthboxes won't do that, but you will get the attention of the cars around you at a traffic light.
