IMO, SRT-4 Neon is essentially... a neon. Someone might get SRT-4 confused with a Caliber. Just say'in. Its like calling an M3 a 3 series. It is.

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to remind everyone that the Concours d’Elegance is this Sunday. It would be great to have a little meet before and then head on over.

Lol no seriously though, as much as I would like to get out on the track or do some autox, I don't have the time or funds for that right now and especially as it's my DD, if I jack something up or something happens, I'm screwed. Just not a smart move for me now so I'm just mostly interested in DD performance, IE straight line. The feeling of toasting some DB in a rustang or some old guy who thinks he's hot shiza in his audi or merc is incredibly liberating. lol. Anyway, on that serious note, the SRT is a no-go and I don't think I'm going to sit around and wait for the MSP so I may have found a compromise in between. I found an 07 Civic Si 4-door at the same stealership as the SRT. Alright, hate away but surprisingly, I really the car, it's loaded too, 6 speed, premium sound, navi, etc. etc. and it's a dark blue. Just wish it was turbed as those have so much more potential.

Thoughts/ kind angelic rainbows or buckets of haterade.

my question.... is why did this new car thing become such a big deal? is there some reason you're ditching the bimmer?

with that said... a honda.... is a honda... much more respectable than a neon... a great DD... is it slow? sorta. does it look good? kinda. is it comfy and easy to drive and is it reliable? yup.

once again... i'd prolly drive a honda as a DD... but its not exactly ideal for anything else in my opinion... but it sounds like its just a DD so big deal

Multiple reasons, one, can't really afford the payment on the BMW anymore. Second, can't afford to fix current issues with the BMW. Third, can't afford to maintain the BMW. And four, something that's a more reasonable/practical car and more suited for CO.

I am not selling the BMW to buy a track car, I'm selling it so I can get something affordable that's still sporty and enjoyable to drive. Once I get this paid down and have enough money down the road to get something track worthy, it will be just that, a track car and I will have an additional DD. Just not there in my life yet. The wife really likes the Si in compairison to what I've been looking at. The only downside is that the payment won't be as low as I was wanting to go but will still save us much more money in the long run.

Ryan, I was looking into the persistent error that is occuring with your car and it may be an easy fix:
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=565806

I think the harness is part# 52108255704

Thanks for checking into that man, I really appreciate it but guess what, I don't have to worry about it anymore

The Bimmer is officially gone guys but I absolutely fell in love with what took it's spot in the garage

It's the blue Civic Si, you guys will have to check it out before you start hating, it's really an awesome car and everything that I want/need right now. It's loaded with every possible option from the factory minus the limited edition Mugen kit. The color is amazing, I love blue and the interior is just awesome and the navi/sound system is better then aftermarket. It's a big change for me and there's things I'm going to miss about the BMW but there's a lot I'm not going to miss about it.

I'll get more pictures up tomorrow and hopefully we can have a get-together soon so I can have you guys check it out. I hate to say it but I don't really like Honda guys at all, or at least the vast majority of them that I've met so I'm going to stick around with you silly hosing toolberts.

Also, Josh don't worry about the exhaust, I'm just having the dealer swap them out for a small fee. I still have to come by and check out the Porch though

Does anyone here know of anyone that has a Jeep wrangler, or some other reliable all-wheel/4x4 vehicle that they would want to trade for a 2000 328ci? I am looking to get something that is winter friendly because the only vehicles I currently own are non-winter friendly.

Yea, it's by far my favorite civic out thus far and I just love the blue, always wanted a blue car, I was finally able to really pick and choose what I wanted in a car when I bought this one and got a smokin deal on it to boot! Driving home I felt as though I just went and picked it up off the show floor, it's so new (newest car I've ever owned) and still has that new car smell. If I was to have ordered this car back in 2007, it would sit exactly the way it does now.

Anyway, I will still be on here as I think/hope I've made some good friends for life. I'm actually not going to mod anything on this car, at least not for a good while. I want it to still be nice and new and in OEM working condition. I have been looking at a couple exterior parts and a catback but the wife will bury me in the backyard we don't have if I do anything like that anytime soon

Hah I actually drive my e46... I've had a few incidents over the years but nothing bad at all. Having a jeep or Subaru would be convenient though. If you'd like, I might have a set of wheels for you to put snow tires on? My buddy has snow tires on his e36 m3 and he gets around very well

Ya I would be interested in those wheels. All I have are these 19s. I heard of people throwing a sand bag in the trunk and some good winter tires and everything is good. I might go that route. Also I got a nail in my tire and had a place fix it, well the guy screwed up my lugs. Anyways long story short I was going to get some 10mm spacers and new lugs for the rear, whats your opinion on that? The reason im looking at spacers is because my left rear tire rubs my exhaust sometimes and I think 10mm will make the tire flush with the fender.
