Azzzy, buy my cf, I bought your damn wheels when you needed me to!!!

Or Alton needs to buy them, or Adam, SOMEONE NEEDS TO BUY THESE LOCAL, SHIPPING IS GOING TO BE A B!TCH.

I'm even willing to let them go for pretty damn cheap local almost the price of just the hood or trunk alone.

azzy won't buy them because they're not legal in his class... alton is a ra-tard with no money.... so that knocks those 2 out of the equation

This is what paint is for!!! Or do they actually inspect parts and check weights?

3 things come to mind lol....

1) this is a GTR hood correct? aka.... it has vents? lol... that will be the first give away as obviously the stock e46 hood doesn't have vents... the vents aren't even prepared class legal

2) even if i did paint it, i would need to use 1 hood shock vs the 2 stock ones... that will be a liiittle bit of a give away... they do tech inspections at every event

3) if i was ever contested (which can happen at any point from a competitor) i will DNF the event... which isn't worth it for the 20-30 lb weight savings there is lol

you'd have to paint the inside of the hood too... after all is said and done... not only would it be obvious its not the right hood, but it won't be as light as its supposed to be either from all the paint

*insert snarky garrett comment about weight reduction here*

yeah i took a look at your link and there aren't any vents... just the bulge... i will say that is a VERY nice hood and it's the one that i wanted to get before i was more serious about autox... my other 2 points still stand... the bulge is a little less obvious than the vents but someone with a well trained eye will see it...

same deal with the trunk... there was never a csl style trunk on a D-stock 3 series sedan or coupe so that one is out as well..

finally, there is no significant advantage to it... and there is no way i want to end up in SM or FP right now.
