Sometime around the end of the year, I think. I've gotta finish up testing in this M3 this week, do a 5spd swap next week, and part the M3 out first.

i'll definitely be interested in hearing your thoughts after you get done with it.... all i remember reading about is having over 2 feet of extensions...


also, do you know if the m3 transmission uses a different bell housing pattern? i guess my real question is does the m3 transmission mate up to an m5x motor?

I should be covered on the extensions, hahaha.

Yes, M3 trans will bolt right up. It uses the standard manual transmission pattern that BMW used since the E30/E34 gen. It's also a nice upgrade if you're doing the M3 differential swap since you can use a standard M3 drive shaft.
