Damn! Yes, I am familiar with the area. My mom and brother used to live in the Springs. My mom now lives in CastleRock and my brother lives in Breckenridge.

Well, I will be there for a week so maybe something can be arranged.

Definitely scr for subframe to kit. And yes labor is the killer. Iirc they charged me like 6 more hours because it just took longer than expected.

Garrett I forgot to ask, are you just doing the rear subframe or did you go with the entire turner reinforcement kit? (The front upper reinforcement plates, the RSM plates, RLCA plates, etc?)

just TMS subframe kit.

i've never had any problems with the front uppers, and my RSM's are significantly bolstered with the plates added from the cage.

is the RLCA plate just something to reinforce the RTAB pocket ?

I guess... It looks like it just goes under the rear spring perch. The ad says that E46 are notorious for that failing but I think you'd have to have some serious stress on that arm before the perch went through, but maybe the higher spring rates give that stress? Anyone heard of this?

edit: The turner kit doesn't come with these, I was getting them confused with another kit I saw that came as a "reinforcement package" grouping some other high stress parts with the TMS kit.

yes, i've heard/ seen this, typically if the spring load is not spread, most common with adjustable spring perches that mount to a small area on the bottom. i don't have any issues right now, and when i upgrade my suspension (probably next year) i'll likely go with full coilovers back there too, i do have pingpong paddle reinforcements that i can put in if decide to up the spring rate before going full coilover.

yes... its called something but i don't know the name... its a cooling mod based off of how nascar air induction works

that area is a dead spot, so as the air moves over the car it pulls it down through the rear of the hood for lower underhood temps.... it will help me more than any fuel injected car because of the location of the carb

THE PROBLEM is that the hood is so floppy now with the supports removed that only the sides sit higher... i need to make another bump stop of sorts for the center off of the firewall to hold it up all the way across

Lol, when are you going to fix the fender.

Where the frock is azzy. I am unamusedberting.

I also wanted to ask if any of you all are going to the 24 hours of le mans? If you are by some freak chance hit me up.

Rumor is that 4ngiefest might be at road Atlanta anyone going to that also? maybe? I know you all are coming to visit, right? You have to. I miss Denver sooooooo much.

Rich I'm looking into cars right now for the LeMons race... If I can find a car that will at least get us out there and reliable then I'll post up looking for drivers. I figured Anthony, Gramps, Azzy (BUT it seems he has gone MIA...), myself, and maybe you it sounds? I'm just not sure if we can get the car built soon enough for this years race...

I'm thinking about going to 4ngiefest this year since we didn't go last year! I need roadmates though!!! I guess i could meet up with the St. Louis guys and maybe the KC guys.

edit: I was contacted by Mellow Mushroom and they'd like to get us in there for maybe a monthly meet, or something of the sort. They would do beer and pizza specials. The owner of it is a fellow BMW owner it seems, I wonder if he's on the forums... Anyway I'll continue to work with them and then post up the info so we can get something going on. Also I am working with Invesco and CraigPara to get a Colorado Motorsports day that will have AX, shows, live bands, marketplace, etc. I'll keep you guys updated with that as I'd like to see us all roll in together if thats at all possible.
