i really can't remove any more weight, i think i'll be needing to add some back soon or get bumped to a higher class as it is.
now it's mostly just getting things put back together and making some slight modifications for rule book stuff. which that reminds me... i have to remove the steering wheel lock, and to do so i need to drill out two hardened steal pins, anyone know what type of drill bit i should be looking for to get that done ?

You guys are in for a real treat with that hardened steel.

Grind away some of the surface and then go to town with a carbide masonry bit.

Swapped out the cam in the 948, I'm making max power for my class now. Installed the adjustable proportioning valve for the rear brakes. Next up is rewiring the trailer hitch harness and getting the instrument cluster to illuminate better at night time.

I also picked up a spare transmission for the car today, just in case...

Are you just going to use some LEDs instead of the bulbs or just switch out the entire cluster for an aftermarket one?

My car uses normal bulbs that reflect down a refractive tunnel to light up the cluster. Problem is the coating on the plastic that reflects the light breaks down over time. So I plan to take out the cluster, clean up the rest of the paint and replace it with something shiny. People have been using tin foil with good results...
