These are in *perfect* shape! Like new, I even have the original shipping boxes for them. Super comfortable, dual use seat. One of the best on the market.

Black fabric with white Recaro logo lettering.

5 point seats so they have the sub strap hole from the factory.

Lumbar pad, reclinable.

These sell for $1700+ for the pair.

Looking for $1200 obo for them, plus shipping and paypal fees.

Oh man, those were some comfortable seats! Good luck offloading these, they shouldn't last long.

So I'm looking at upgrading to an M3. I'm really unfamiliar with the SMG and that seems to be the transmission that most of the M3s for sale have right now. I know about the pump failures, anything else? I'm thinking the manual is a safe bet, just doing research. Any large items to watch for? Thanks guys

I wouldn't buy a SMG car. The transmission is just clunky, it doesn't work as an automatic at all and there's more to go wrong with it and little to no gain vs a traditional manual transmission.

On the M3's in general make sure the Vanos is good, rear subframes aren't cracked, then it's the standard BMW stuff, so the entire cooling system, etc.

Agreed on the SMG. I drove a black 04 with SMG before I bought mine (had visions of of a DSG in my head) and was very disappointed with it. Mine had a little more miles on the clock and was priced higher and I realized why afterwards. Not that I really like autos of any kind as I've always owned and thoroughly enjoyed manuals but still. If I remember correctly though, your car's an auto now so if that's something you enjoy driving then it may suit you but as Josh said, there's much more potential for issues aside from what it has already. GL on the search though man, still love M's a lot

I have an SMG. I like it, but doing if it started over I'd probably get the 6 speed. If you have a reason to get a SMG, then go for it. Otherwise, like you said, the 6 speed is safer.

Beside the pump, the gear position sensor and compression springs have been known to break. Once in a blue moon a slave cylinder/clutch actuator fails. The evil part is the trouble codes for the SMG suck or are non-existent so diagnostics is hard. The stealership likes to throw expensive parts at the problem until it is goes away.

Many of the pump problems are a failure of an internal temp sensor. As a workaround a few people have put in a resistor so the computer doesn't shut the pump down due to a false high temp reading.

Good to see you again Cazz and based off your post, that sounds like a horrible mess of a headache already.

Thanks for the info guys. I've found a few around town, but it looks like I may be waiting until a good one pops up. Anyone ever deal with RMEuropean? They have one, but it's overpriced.

All their cars are over priced and they're high pressure sales "Why aren't you buying this car RIGHT NOW???" types...

Brandon11, you might want to check the dealerships in arizona. A friend just bought an e90 this weekend from there. Got it for 5k less than the prices here, also with the factory CPO warranty.
I know where to shop for my next car now
