Rich - So the belt is still intact along with the pulley but you're losing power? It sounds like a bad alternator if that's the case. You should check the nut on the pulley for the alternator to make sure its tight in case it just is coming lose and spinning.

I'll know more tomorrow. Even if the car is done I question whether taking a freshly built car directly out on track to thrash on it is a good idea. I'd much rather drive it around some, accumulate some miles and make sure everything is working properly before I go pound the crap out of it.

We'll see...

Not going to be able to make that. I have to pick the car up first, then take care of my daughter, chores around the house, mount the front race tires to make sure they fit, charge my transponder and chatterbox, mount the transponder, wire up the trailer light plug in the car, etc, etc, etc.

Yup, that's what I thought too, but the pulley was tight as a could be. Without a lockwasher, but still tight. Took out the alternator and replaced it. Will work for awhile, but am afraid it won't last long. The belt is looking like it might be getting eaten up by the pulleys. ALL of them. I took the belt off and saw pieces of melted rubber on all the pulleys. Going to buy a longer belt tomorrow. Plus, when I tried taking the pulley off it was fused to the alternator a bit. So I'm thinking it ruined the alternator, but not to the point of sheering. I was able to get the pulley off and reuse it, but don't trust it one bit. Its been feeling like there is a lack of fuel coming in sometimes and the engine area has a weird chattering sound. Hopefully due to the belt being too small. We'll see. Won't be doing the two events for sure, but might show up.

I'll be going to Cali hopefully in mid-june. If car runs well. Should be gone for no more than a few days. Once I get back I'll have like 2 1/2 more weeks off. Then I start clearing Ft. Carson to go to my next unit in Georgia. Which is more short days and then I'll have another 2 weeks off before I leave so I can have plenty of time to move my $hit by September.

lol, Anthony really wants me to bring the M3 out...
i'm not sure that the offsets on Rich's wheels will work on the M3.

i'm currently registered in DS in the 330 on (not at all ideal, budget) street tires for Saturday only.

Already asked if he wanted to do that. Its all up to him. I'm cool with it either way.

Garrett, you might be able to get away with putting the OZ's on the sedan? 255 on the rear and the 265 up front. Just throwing that out there. If you want to do a test fit just get ahold of Ryan.

I'd go with the Black ones. They are sexy as hell and it'll give you more of a balanced look. As in the black vs. white.

Sorry I haven't been posting a lot lately. Some are happy for that, but this is where I've been the last week.
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...756244&page=19 Oh yeah.... NWS, but no one should be at work at this time anyways.

I've gotta do army classes online for my next rank called BNOC. Might even have to give up Saturday to finish it.

I know, but once I start my leave I'll have plenty of time to do whatever..... after Cali, or course.
