Question E46 M3 rims on 2000 323i?

Hey everyone, I know that this question has been asked around but I have not found good enough evidence explaining if e46 m3 18 inch rims will fit on my 2000 323i.

I took it to a local shop and they said that the rims will rub unless I install rubber spring spacers to stretch my springs so these wont rub the fender.

any of you fanatics ever try installing these rims? if so what worked and what didnt. I hope someone can help me answer this mystery not only for myself but for everyone else in this situation!

attached are some pics of the rims

there front and rear, the back tire appears to be slightly wider then the front tires but I cant really tell. previous owner said that his 323ci was lowered and the front fit but the rear rubbed a bit so thats why he sold them.
