I would not put anything but NGKs in. You change plugs every 4-5 years if that and the idea of saving 40 bucks on 6 of them isn't worth it. Bosch generally makes good stuff but when it comes to spark plugs NGK is da man!

as part of a buddy deal/inspection 2 front bushings/all fluids.
i still get the same miss. are the wires/whatever they're called needing to be replaced? also, how long should the belt last?

I'll back you up that the plugs you used aren't "wrong". There is a specific Bosch p/n at 2+ bucks for this engine. However laws of physical aside I noticed that some plugs are more prone to changing the gap over time. Gap is key to good timed ignition. NGKs in my experience have been a lot better at maintaining the proper gap over longer periods of time.

NGK Plugs
The NGK 2667's are the Iridium verision NGK's. Did you notice any difference with them? I have been curious to try these on my 2000 328Ci.

yes i have seen an improvement in power and gas mileage.. the last time i changed plugs were about 30k miles or less and they were ngk bkr6equp, the point for the 2667s is its a colder plug and you will thus see an improvement in gas mileage and power ironically... i get much better pulls from 60-90... the only problem i saw was i did the intake manifold gaskets a couple days later and now with the changes in spark and all the computer cannot adapt via o2 values its reading so i need to go in for a SW update on my DME... it was in a service bulletin but im out of warranty and i cant stand a ses light... i def would recommend the colder ngk 2667s
jackeatsemokids recommended them for m54s oh and i drive a e39 530i but same m54 as the 330i |
