Would you guys buy these?
Since I've started slowly changing my cars interior over to black I made a new shift boot too.
I noticed on ebay these go for $15 plus shipping so would you guys be willing to pay $10.00 and the cost of whatever envelope is needed to ship them? It wouldn't include the frame, just the boot that you would need to glue onto your existing plastic frame. I'd be making them in leather just like the one pictured and whatever color stitching you want. I can't do the tri-stitching though. I can make the e-brake boot too for the same price. |

![]() I got a set of suede ones tri-stitch boot and e-brake for about $30. ![]() ![]() Some people may not like them, but they are a work of art to me. Got the matching arm rest cover for $40.....all of these prices were shipped....granted I have not gotten around to installing the arm rest one yet. Just laid it on there for the pic. ![]() EDIT....and yes my car was dirty...was snowing. Pics do not actually show how deep black the suede/alcantara is.....I love them. But, to each his own.

the leather is too shiny for me. Looks like its supposed to be on a leather jacket rather than in a car.

If someones willing to pay $30 for a shifter and e-brake boot then I don't see why $20 wouldn't be a better deal if the material is right. Oh and that isn't tri-stitching in those other pics btw, tri-stitching is zigzagged between the 3 threads... that's just 3 different colors for the standard stitching. |

People might have an issue though if you are trying to make money selling something here and not a sponsor.....just throwing that out there.

^he is uping his post count so someone down the road will be like "wow, you must know stuff you have XXXX posts"
I agree with the others, the material is too shiny, tone it down a bit and I'd say you could sale a few to folks that have worn leather and want to stay more or less origional. Good luck |

Yea if that's the case then I'd understand. I imagine the thread will just get locked or whatever? I wasn't sure about it since people sell stuff on these forums anyways.

No big deal dude, props to you for making it yourself. The flash does throw the pics off I imagine. What you made is not a POS, just not sure there is a market for it here.

looks like decent quality leather, nice craftsmanship, good price... it is too shiny though. maybe pics with it fit in the car would help people. if you could get an exact match of different interior colors, id bet youd have quite a bit of sales.

Thanks. I just wanna make it clear that my priority here wasn't to start making sales. I don't want it to seem that way. I really just needed a boot so I made one and figured others might like the cheap option since every little thing on our cars is already kinda overpriced. I remember someone here machined their their own shiftknob out of a solid chunk of metal. I personally would have bought one from them if they made multiples as long as it was less than the 60 bucks for a zhp knob. I'll post pics once it's in the car. If I have to make a new one I will, and maybe it'll come out better. |

You could actually sell these in the classifieds. People have done it before. Its just your own personal service and you arent a business so Im sure it wouldnt be a problem... Heck there's even a guy who re-wraps and sells steering wheels. If you could do some in a nice, close to OEM alcantara, micro suedeId be interested i getting one from you. The price is right
