New CCV/Oil Seperator Bad out of the Box?
So I did this last month. I replaced the engine belt with it. After all said and done I started to get an intermittent Honk/Goose sound. At first thinking this was a tensioner that I failed to replace. I didn't have the sound with my failed valve before. Now I think I have the sound with a 2nd bad valve.
Could I have missed hooking up the hose from the CCV to the Dipstick or cracked one of the hoses? Im trying to figure out what is causing the sound. I do have oil in the newly installed top Hose from the Valve Cover. I'm not encouraged. |

yes they can be bad right out of the box, had one up here about a month ago that was bad brand new. but yes, you could have also not connected a hose all the way.
