How often do you redline you car?

Just wondering how often you guys redline your car? I drive pretty easy so I do it about twice a week

Note* I didn't mean how often do you bounce the rpms off the limiter, but rather into the red about 6-6250 rpm.

easy drivers don't rev past 4k, red lining twice a week is good use of a BMW in my book.

I redline a few times a week if traffic allows.

You guys do know its bad to bounce off of the rev limiter in our cars right? BMW uses fuel cut, not spark cut, in their E46's at least which means when you hit the rev limiter, the motor will only inject fuel into every other cylinder, meaning when yours on your limiter you are running on a slant 3, not a slant 6. This puts increased stress on the working cylinders while the other cylinders just float around with inert gasses in them. Its bad for the motor to put this added stress on it. It will also cause your motor to run lean which ultimatly could lead to detonation if you do it enough due to improper air to fuel mixture. If you buzz off of it on a late shift thats one thing, but i would never recommend running on the limiter for more than a second or 2.

Couple times a week. The rest of the time I am keeping fuel efficiency in mind.

Never above 4k ever. Drive like an ass and **** brakes down faster, I am sick of fixing things as it is.

You can accelerate faster than anyone at from the light at 3.5k, driving too much faster is mostly just driving like a dick.

But if you enjoy it and it hurts nobody, I could care less.

i used to do it every day...once the car was warmed up of course (after 10 min or so). Never above 3k and 1/2 throttle when the car's cold.
