Has anyone used these Sumitomo tires?

I am looking at getting some tires on the cheap, anyone used these? Searched and it looked like the 275/35/18 should fit on my zhp rear wheels.

Any comments on wear/noise/performance etc is greatly appreciated

Not sure what to tell you about those. I just purchased the Sumitomo HTR III, which is another step up from your choice, the II, and I have been very impressed with handling, noise (quietest tires I have ever had on this car, bar none!), and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They are very well reviewed by nearly everyone.

Of course, in your size, these are $178 on Tirerack.com, so they are not the same tire or price.

I have the HTR-Z II on my 911 and they are pretty noisy IMO but they have held up well with little signs of wear after about 8,000 miles on them. Sounds like the III would be a good move.

I used the HTRZII tires on a supercharged miata about ten years ago. They have good wet traction, decent wear, but are a large step down from the HTRZIII (HTRZ3) in nearly every measurable area, especially in regards to noise, dry grip and steering response. In most sizes it is well work the price difference to get the HTRZ3.

HTR Z III is a MUCH better tire than HTR Z II. I would NOT get the II but highly recommend the III.
