Aluminum pedal - smoked transparent vinyl or transparent spray paint?

I just got myself a set of ACS pedals and I'm actually going to vinyl-wrap my interior trim a black chrome (personally I think the "aluminum" looks kind of cheap and plastic-y) - I'm thinking I should just get some smoked headlight trim and wrap the pedals in this, as I'd have to do overspray coats to handle my huge dirty feet not destroying the paint.

Thoughts?

They should have some clear coat on them. Just leave it.

Use something nice and slippery. How about some gloss vinyl with a good layer of armor-all high-shine dressing, that should do the trick.

you mean you got yourself a set of ACS knock off pedals... and then wonder why the "aluminum" looks kind of cheap
