My Ride: 320ci m sport auto
320i sport automatic 2003-2004 code 60 fault

please help my car came up with this fault code 60
select lever position,
this is what i have been told if so how much will this cost to fix

The BMW code is 60 or (3chex) is stored in the transmission control unit. This can cause a no start no crank at times. Erratic harsh shifting and a transmission warning light at times.

The problem is actually the selector switch losing power at times. You should check fuse 30 in the glove box. If fuse 30 looks good you should still replace it but that means the selector switch will need to be replaced. This is the switch that is internal in the transmission. I highly recommend having the work done at the dealer. They can offer a two year unlimited mile warranty on the repair
