My Ride: 135i ///M
Car died during no contact car wash...check engine is on now what ?

I was getting my car washed at a No contact shell car wash and left the car on meanwhile... at some point the car died... i had a hard time trying to turn it back on but finally it did come on.

result : check engine light is on...

what can it be ? going to get it scanned on my first day off

You car throwing a fit at you for not washing by hand. On a more serious note, are you supposed to leave the car on when you go through a car wash? I have never been through one so I don't know.

i usually wash by hand but i had no time... i had to go catch gumball3000 in quebec lol

And does the check engine light come out without a reset or i absolutely have to get a reset ?

Probably a crankshaft sensor. You have to get it scanned regardless. Your card died on you and you have a problem. Simple as that.

It's important to realize that a check engine/Service Engine Soon light can be caused literally hundreds of faults. Guessing is 100% useless.
