Good to know what to look for at least! I'll be doing mine next weekend, so I gotta start reading up!

It really is a pretty easy DIY. It's just pulling fuse 54, run it till it dies, lift the car, pull the guard and replace the filter. As soon as I pulled the guard, I noticed the vacuum hose was disconnected. Have a small bucket there to catch the overspill and you're good. I had a little more gas come out than most but it was clean. I'll be doing my OFHG next week and will be cleaning fairly extensively so I don't have to mess with it again.

Didn't get a chance to post, been really busy buying/selling houses...

Last weekend I finished my suspension job.

H&R premium cup kit
all new supporting parts
Rogue Engineering RSM's
free front and rear 325i sway bar upgrade from Whinojosa (Thanks man!)

The improvement in handling is even more pronounced than the improvement in appearance.

Before / After:

Per the Grand Kodiak (Alex323ci):

"If your 328i has the Sport Package it has the largest of all non-M3 bars. At 24mm front and 19mm rear.
So to answer your question, I would look for some 1999/2000 Sport swaybars and get new bushings.

*these are not absolute across the board. this is a baseline

1999/2000 Standard......Frt 21.5mm...Rr 15mm
1999/2000 Sport...........Frt 24mm......Rr 19mm
2001+ Sport................Frt 23.5mm...Rr 18mm
2001+ Standard...........Frt 23mm......Rr 18mm
Convertible..................Frt 23.5mm...Rr 20mm
M3.............................Frt 26mm......Rr 21.5mm
M3 CSL ......................Frt 30.8mm...Rr 22.5mm

ID:	514292 is this part universal my driver side door handle doesn't open from the outside and I heard a cable snap so I'm sure it's this cable. I just don't know if coupe cables can work with sedan cables.

I am going to pick up a set up ramps for $20, they'll make some of my DIY projects a lot easier.

why would you order something like that without verifying what is broken first?

I found it's time for a new expansion tank, she's leaking, local dealer beat online prices, that maaay have to do with the shop discount.

I also found that I need shorter rear sway bar links... Slaloms are too much travel for the current ones

and my washer bottle is leaking, what's next?

I know it's that through hours of research. I opened up my door weeks ago and saw the cable stripped, this weekend I heard it snap. So it's only makes sense

This past Sunday, I changed my Cowl, The hardest thing was taking off the wipers. Be careful, they do come off by wiggling and sweating..

It's hard to say - I was likely riding on my original shocks and struts at 160,000 miles so I'm not sure where to assign the huge improvements in handling / roll stability. All I know is I take freeway on-ramps at full speed without any noticeable roll, and pull fairly decent lateral G's without any feeling that I'm getting near the edge of performance. I may have to track Betsy now to see what she can do.
