It's getting warm over here with all the lovely sunlight. I took the BMW windshield sunshade out of storage and put it on my bimmer. UV protection is great!

Finally gave it the proper wash it deserves after winter storage. Great to have it back on the road! Damn birdsh*t on the roof, apparently my neighbour is a crazy pigeon lady and likes to feed upwards of 20 pigeons every day. Thank god I am moving in May... Also repaired a frayed fog light wire before the weekend

I'm going to include what I did over the last few days, since I've spent almost all my time preparing or doing:

- New tires and an alignment (Thursday)
- Cleaned the TB and replaced the gasket
- Cleaned the ICV
- Put in a new (used) MAF sensor
- Cleaned the new (used) MAF sensor and put it back
- Replaced the intake boots, but they were the wrong ones! Put the old ones back
- Did the antenna delete

Ordered the ZCP steering wheel since the price dropped quite a bit and I wanted to treat myself to something for my birthday

BTW, I want to give a shout out to Mike @ thebmwpartstore.com - customer service has been amazing so far. He's responded to all of my PMs very quickly (even on a Sunday like today) and he's gone above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I'm happy as a customer. The prices he offers through his store are excellent as well, especially once you factor in the free shipping on orders above $50 and the 10% discount for e46fanatics. In the rare instance that another vendor is able to beat his shipped price, he's willing to price match. I highly recommend getting your genuine parts through his store!

Titanium Silver with Matte Black VMR's

Finally got my new wheels put on this weekend. I went with the VMR v710 in Matte Black. I was hesitant with choosing a black wheel with the titanium silver paint, but after a lot of thought said what the hell. I love them! Especially with the calipers painted red. Staggered setup (19x8.5 in the front and 19x9.5 in the rear). The tires are 225 in front and 275 in rear. Next up... coilovers and black or carbon fiber m3 mirrors.

^ that's quite the stagger... Wouldnt 245/275 have been more appropriate? That's what I'm running on my 18x8.5F and 18x10R setup

Saturday: near-complete cooling system overhaul. The only things I didn't replace were the radiator and heater core->water valve hose. Went very smoothly, but very messy! Considering the magnitude of the job, I'm very happy this car was so easy to work on. BMW knows how to design cooling hose connections.

This weekend:

Replaced inner driver side wheel well and external temperature sensor that I ripped off driving on the beach... Also bolted the skid plate/splashguard under the engine (that kept falling down when I went faster than 80mph) using body clips/screws from a 1967 Camaro

Replaced clear corners with Depo smoked and Umnitza LEDs...

Replaced clear side markers with smoked but decided to keep the standard bulbs because LEDs are not bright...

Painted silver headlight bezel black...

Installed Umnitza angel eyes (Orion V2's)...

The front lights got a nice makeover and look SICK!!

Just ordered black kidney grills (to complete the front end makeover) and Eagle Eyes LED tails (to remove the last bit of clear lighting) from Khoalty this morning!
