Started at my SES light for the third day. Waiting for fuel level to get lower so I can put a different brand in. Damn road trips through the mountains of WV...

Installed the BSW 10" sub and amp :-D. Sounds great. Have wanted a sub forever. First time I've been able to get one for a decent car

Flashed a euro tune on my M3. Differences were more significant than I expected. Now I want to buy the euro headers and cats just so the software and hardware match better...

Took it to a BMW/Porsche shop to get it aligned and balanced, as well as have the control arms and other such things looked at.
Then I found out they couldn't finish it today, so I had to wait in a BK while I tried to re-obtain my room-mate's number as I had lost it so he could come pick me up ![]() I'm hoping they don't say the control arms and bushings are bad and all I needed was just an alignment. Tomorrow I'm gonna put my new wiper blade inserts on so I don't scratch up my windshield any more than it already is I hope a pebble hits it on the freeway so I can get a friggin new, not-pitted one. Today, after receiving three separate orders from UPS, I did some basic maintenance. I replaced the filthy stock air filter with a drop in K&N 'high flow' filter and I also replaced the cabin air filter with a Bosch charcoal filter.
The new air filter definitely made a difference. Probably just replacing my dirty one with a stock one would have helped just as much, but from what I can tell, there is a small but noticeable increase in acceleration performance and I also feel the engine is a bit louder along with the exhaust as well. Who knows, it might just be physiological. Either way, better than a filthy filter Lastly, I upgraded from the stock amber tail lights to the R/C/R tail lights from Khoalty. I am very happy with the price and construction, but the gap between the lights and the body is a tad large and there seem to be some areas where the plastic seems are a bit messy. Honestly though this stuff really doesn't bother me too much. Here are some photos. Before: ![]() After: ![]() This weekend I will be replacing my plugs and possibly my fuel filter as well, and then after that I plan to give my car a good washing and take some photos with my DSLR of the new tail lights.

Got a misfire and BMW after running test after replacing plugs an coils and boots. And injectors decided that it was the piston in cylinder 5 that was damaged. Would have costed 3000 to rebuild engine. But my friend at GMC service department. Fixed it. Got a my engine rebuilt for just the price of parts .

Got rid of the squeaking clutch fork pivot(inside the bellhousing). Removed the clutch slave and sprayed some lithium grease on the fork and pivot. Well, that was 3 months ago, but wanted to wait a bit before claiming success.
Also got rid of the super annoying rattle in the front suspension that you can feel through the steering wheel. Thought it was sway bar end links or CABs, or control arms. Ended up being the locknut on the top of the strut. Tightened it down another 1/4 turn and voila, no more clunky, rattle noises anymore. It's been about 1 month now, so it's gone gone. Today, I finally washed the car after the crazy rain we have had recently. |
