2 new pre cat oxygen sensors, and cleaned the AMM sensor. 68,000 miles but 11 years old, with many heat cycles.

Finally got to installing my new wheels style 119, i know it needs a drop but thatll come with time. I've been taking things step by step. The wheels make a huge difference tho and for now i'm very satisfied.

I thought i'd try to change the front standard springs to sport ones for a subtle front drop, looks better, but i think eibachs or racelands will eventually have to be put on!

I need to do this before my next oil change. My guess is you poured some seafoam in the brake booster line. I've seen a DIY that said this hose had a "one time use" strap on it, any thoughts?

Be careful after awhile the sea foam will eat away at the lines you are using to suck up the sea foam. Happened to me I would sea foam every other month and it does a really good job just it is really rough on the intake tubes. Mine finally crumbled in my hand when I put it back. It was an older Acura that had alot of miles.

pick up a regular hose clamp, you can probably get them pretty cheap at any auto parts store

still battling it out with the shop that messed up.

Got rear ended. Gave it to shop for ESTIMATE. Was going to take the check and get it done differently (cheaper).... they just decided to fix the car with bondo. Not what I wanted.

Removed stock headers. Ran into an issue removing section 1, but I should be able to take care of that tomorrow. Euro headers and euro section 1 should be installed tomorrow if all goes well. Already got the DME flashed to European specs. Hopefully will be ready for Eurofest on Sunday. Also got new pre and post cat O2s since I figured itd be a lot easier to do that while the headers are being installed.

Euro vs US headers.

Where did you get them from, Terra? How much? Keep us posted about results, in "flashed DME" topic too.

nice, I see the M3 has proper headers were as non-m's just have manifolds.

Today, I beat the crap out of my car sensibly.

Got them from a guy on M3forum (I think he's here too actually) for ~$1100 shipped. (I got the headers and cats for that price... euro cats aren't in that picture). These headers are actually the RHD variant, which is why the one pipe has a bit of a flat-spot. The RHD steering gets in the way of the LHD euro headers. RHD headers fit fine in LHD cars though, and there's no major power difference (according to BMW anyway).

I do kinda wish I was able to get the CSL headers since they're lighter, but it's not really a big deal. The shape is identical between CSL and non-CSL headers - the CSL ones are just made thinner so that they weigh less. Power output should be the same.

I'll definitely keep you guys posted about how they work. I do think the Euro DME will behave a little more appropriately with the euro headers and brand new O2s. While the euro flash has been great so far, it does occasionally do weird things. Since my engine should be identical to a eurospec motor now, it should function properly. I think the issue were more apparent on the M3 since the US and Euro exhausts differ more radically for the M3 than the non-Ms

Yea, the euro headers are actually designed pretty well on the M3. There are aftermarket headers with higher peak power numbers, but many of them sacrifice mid-range performance to do that.

Did a lot lol, replaced power steering pump, new steering fluid, replaced CCV pipe and a few other pipes and hoses, rubber hoses showed some wear so I decided to replaced them since I already had the intake manifold off, new manifold gaskets, new pressure regulator, cleaned the throttle body, the fuel injectors, fuel lines, accelerator pump. She drives like a DREAM! also degreased my engine so it looks way cleaner than in the pics.

crappy pics but its something.
