I redid my oil change... First time doing an oil change yesterday on this car. I took out the drain bolt and let the oil pour into the pan... just to have about a quart go all over the floor when it was done full flowing out of there. Then I got my new crush washer out and was going to put it on the bolt, but i tried taking the "washer" off the bolt and it wouldn't come off so i said i'm not doubling up on washers. So I put the bolt back in the pan and put 4 quarts in. That's when I looked at the drain pan and saw the crush washer sitting on it... fml. So I drained the used oil out of the pan, dropped the new oil out, and put the crush washer on and finished it up... rookie mistake that won't happen again!

What would you use to do this? I would still want my needle to glow orange to match the rest of the dash.

Looking good to me, NH. I've been thinking of doing the same but I've heard of things going wrong when people do this. Where did you get your rings?

I got my rings from Khoalty. For the needles I used a red Sharpie, I thought it would change the glow at night but you can't even tell they're painted once everything lights up.

Thanks. I got this from a fanatic who had 3 sets to sell. I just checked his thread and he has sold them all. I am not sure who the retailer was but they popped in easy and quick.

I thought about it but I wasn't sure if I wanted to do that. It is pretty easy to remove the cluster so if I have a change of heart I will do it. I guess people just put a few coats of red sharpie on em'

How could I convince you to do that for me... Bel Air is on my way to my parents' house... And I'm headed that way next week... Buy you a pack of fillet mignon? I hope it's not cheeky of me to ask...

Changed the oil and replaced my oil level sensor. No more brief yellow oil light during startups!
