All in all spent $318, left the dealer ship and noticed my stereo now has an interference problem so it sounds like there's static under acceleration, I still haven't tracked down the problem. But after I left the dealer I went and got gas then left and what do you know the knocking was back, took it home jacked it up then me and my buddy spun the tire and pulled on it thinking it was a wheel bearing. But no luck seemed solid, my buddy then was checking the drive line and what do you know where the axle bolts to the diff all the bolts were finger tight and some were almost completely out. That could have gone horribly wrong if that were to have came apart

Did you have the dealer diag that?? Or did you just tell them to do the shock mounts? I would have it flat bedded back them and get it taken care of minus the cost of your first repair. That's just BS.

"From the dealer" is my generic response for stupid questions in this thread.

I probably bought them from Tischer. They're $0.55/each at thebmwpartstore.com.

My friends dad works there so I went in there and told them I have a bad knock in the right rear and I can feel it when I accelerate and decel. After they fixed it he said that it was because of the shock mount, didn't make since to me but I figured they would know better than me but I guess not haha.

We tightened the bolt as good as we could get so i'm going to drive it down there today and have them tighten it on spot, or at least try

Just replace the lower control arm bushings, urethane, they seem to work well, not a difficult job either. Also, used some of that Permatex upholtstery spray to reattach the fabric on the "A" pillar. Looks much better than it did, time will tell if the adhesive holds though. Oh yeah, one other thing, installed a strut brace that I bought used. Cant wait until I can afford new bilstein shocks and struts, so I can instal them with the H and R springs. I'm on a roll!

I don't think real world benefits are great enough to be worth the hassle.

Removed HK subs to gain access to the underside of the deck. Stuffed the tennis ball in.

Lol, saw ur original post before u decided to edit. I've searched all up and down on this forum as well as 2 others. There are about 5 or so different ways to do this. I don't have an HK system, so can't do it your way. Installed a sub so the rattle is annoying but not something I have to do right now. What I'll probably end up doing is remove the entire back deck and line it with something. I Always ask anytime I see someone mentioning the rear deck rattle in case there is a new method I haven't read about yet. Thanks for letting me know what you did. I appreciate it.
