Okay here is the problem. It's identical to Justin's.

Has anyone replaced it? Anyone know of a DIY online? How much does the part cost? I searched bavauto but they didn't have anything online and realoem.com was just too daunting.

Any help is appreciated.

My Ride: Has three pedals
Put in new control arms, threw it on the alignment rack, and rigged the window with a broken reg until I can get a new one.

Haven't been to a car wash in weeks so I cleaned off the massive amounts of brake dust from the wheels. Tomorrow if it will be nice I'll get a quick car wash.

Just reprogrammed my key. The previous owner as well as myself thought the battery was dead. Works perfect now!

How did you reprogram the key? I tried the accessory position+unlock+lock pattern many times and it doesn't work. Tested battery and the battery is good

Accessory for 3 seconds. Remove key. Hold unlock for like 8-10 seconds then push the lock button 3 times fast then let off unlock. You have to be in the car with the doors shut and locked.

Aha I read that doors have to be unlocked. Ill try again in a couple hours. Just for clarification, and bc the buttons on my key are worn out, which one is the lock key lol? Is it the BMW button? I have a diamond key

So i will be receiving my aluminum trim in the mail given to me for 50$ from a fellow fanatic as well as my myrtle wood trim. I now need a shift knob but i'm unsure which to go for any opinions on these two.

The first one seems logical, but the second one looks really nice i just dont know if it will fit well with the interior of an e46.

Same here. Was quite easy once I got a breaker bar. Was a pain otherwise. That and had to take the fan out.

If you dont mind me asking - how much did it cost to do that?

Thats the one thing about e46 sedans and it looks equally bad on my silver one...
