Drove her around. People love the sort-of-rare color, instead of the usual black and white.

New windshield panel. Would have taken a half hour if not for a trip to 4 stores to find a gear puller.

wrapped my interior trim in matte black today to match the dash, like a bau5
oh, and also sprayed the front grills satin black instead of the boring matte black.... i'm picky like that!

Right on man, that's a productive weekend! I've been working on cars with my dad for over a decade and it's probably the best way we spend time together.

Ripped it's rear end apart.

It thought it could taunt me. It thought I was afraid of tearing it apart for an intermittent noise. It was wrong. DIE RATTLES!

Also, what is moderation? Beats me. I removed the seat belt mechanisms so I could dynamat underneath the vibration dampeners.

Then I dampened the dampeners after dampening the dampener contact points. Because to hell with what makes sense!

Installed black front grille as a replacement for stock "chrome" ones, which had clips broken. Looks a lot better now.

Also, spent two days cleaning wheels, which had over 7 years of baked dust on the inside. I ended up using 800 grit wet sandpaper to get rid of that.
Once done, I polished wheels with Eagle one wheel polish which is supposed to give wheels some sort of "nano" protection. I'll see how that works out.

1. Absolutely not. The only designs that are 'better' than the OEM box are long tube, new Dinan box, BMW Perfiormance, and possibly AFE. The OEM intake is a superb design and is excellently balanced.

2. Better put on a fireproof suit...

Yeah I love working on cars with him. When he was young, he bought a 911 at a police auction and ever since then was hooked on cars. I'm fortunate enough that he has taught me everything he knows. My knuckles are cut and my fingernails are dirty but it was a great weekend!

Nothing today...besides drive it.

Yesterday (Sunday), I spent like 6-7 hours cleaning it, fixing my splashguard (was falling in one spot), repainted my calipers/lug nuts black....

Tell you what, there's not many things that make you feel as good as driving a car that smells, and looks like new.

stupid autoleveling sensor broke in the middle of the plastic arm, first time i plastic welded it and it held until whatever caused my swaybar bracket to break causing the bracket to snap at the weld...so i drilled a hole on each side and looped 3 small zip ties and 1 big one bridging the arm back together...20 cent fix for a 100 dollar part...if this holds next time im having the tires balanced ill epoxy the whole assembly then
