Still tweakin the ride height and dampening with the K-Sport coil overs ! now at even ride height 32cm fronts / 32cm rears rim to center wheel. Reduced tire pressure to 36lbs and dialed down dampers to 18 clicks.
Uneven road surface ride quality with K-Sports, 235/40/18 Yok-S on light 19lb wheels gettin better, less body/frame bump transfer. During acceleration, stops, and thru corners the tires stick like glue with very little frame or body roll from the coils. SRF 504 coilover, SRR 532 spring on control arm.

need a break from tire jacking !
Went and washed the desert grime off her !

I'll disagree in the sense that they are not performers in a straight line. But are just as spry and good at handling in the twisties. And I definitely proved that this past weekend with some friends. Due to my suspensions upgrades, it handles and performed just as well as some of my friends' E9x's. Was an awesome weekend .

Agreed.
I could care less about straight line speed. In the bends; It all comes down to the driver, until the uphill straights.....

Sent haphazardly from my HTC

- Complete rear brakes (rotors, pads, parking brake shoes, little springs kit for parking brake)
- Valve cover gasket
P.S: Oil level sensor will wait for the next oil change

can't say I like this mod, maybe when you get done sanding? Vinyl is always the way to go for ALL red tails. Post pics when done sanding. Good idea on ditching those clears...

Jake, oil level sensor is cheap (24 = $32) ATP rebranded some chinese/turkish junk (probably)...with ATP being one large German shop for German car parts (OEM and not so OEM): https://www.atp-autoteile.de/Default.aspx

I've had small VCG leak for a few months now, and I really needed to fix this ASAP, since I have to make a few trips in the next few weeks (around 1000 kms total) so I didn't want to drive it with a leaking VCG. Waiting for VANOS seals to get from Beisan systems to Europe (or from any shop/seller for that matter) takes 2-3 weeks, so I just had to skip it this time.

Oh, and you shoud say "while you're at it", not "while your at it" because "mine isn't at it."

New Driveshaft!

A lot of annoying noise and vibration are gone now, really made a difference!
Used a reman from Driveshaft Specialists in Texas ($358 + $60 core). Seemed very good quality and is running very smooth.
Also replaced belts and pulleys a few weeks ago.

Next up: Oil Pan Gasket

Return it and get a HELLA sensor. That crap that you bought will fail on you and leak oil.

I would still wait and do the VCG at the same time as the vanos. unless your spewing oil, I wouldnt bother. Do the VCG, vanos and an oil change all at the same time and call it a day.

Picked up a new electric fan from my mechanic today for $180. Other one crapped out and runs all the time, after I turn the car off.
