Little E46 has been behaving lately. Drove around to put some miles on the car to see if SES light would come back on and it hasn't. I did notice that during tonights hard rain I need to reseal the little beestinger antenna again. It has a slight leak causing the 3rd brake light cover to have some water. No biggie... I'll take care of it tomorrow.

Gotta admit, I was a diehard Cadillac guy before this car and if everything continues to go well with this BMW I don't think I would ever buy anything else. Great car it is.

Dropped in a new cabin air filter. I kept sneezing and coughing while in my car and really couldn't figure out why, the other day my friend started to do the same when we went to the store. That was when I realized I needed a new filter. There was so much pollen stuck in that old thing. Drove around for a good while with the new filter and not a single sneeze or sniffle.

But yeah, didn't solve it for me. Still reading -40......
Sometimes when it gets hot enough, it reads +50 degrees though. And other times, it can be spot on with the temp.

Freakin' bi-polar sensor, I swear.
You had to pull the bumper cover off?

Why?

Are you sure the long pins seated in the connector properly?

Did my vanos seals yesterday at 175,000 miles. Very happy I did it. I couldn't believe how bad the old seals were.

I can't think of any other way to disconnect that sensor.

It's placed inside of a hole by the brake ducts, and then it clips into another piece, and a little bit of it pokes outside of the bottom of the car, to get an accurate temp. reading.

And I tried to push it in as hard as I could, the sensors appear to be nearly identical...

Spent an hour or so on my hands and knees removing the paint splatter from both sides. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Ordered VANOS kit, VCG etc. from Pelican.
Will do the inside later today.

Sound deadening under rear seat, behind the seat back, in the trunk, behind the door panels of the back seat, trunk lining (all of it), tool kit' jack, wheel chock, oddments tray on the left side of the trunk, full-size spare tire and wheel, wiring for a sub the p.o. Put in.

So I have a stripped trunk, but I do have a full interior.

Should bring my total weight down to about 3170. I'll confirm it in the next couple of days.

So would you have more exhaust drone if you took out all the sound deadening?

Ordered my parts and fluids for my next oil service from BavAuto. They had a special going on where you get a free filter when you purchased liqui moly oil so I went for it. I also purchased a set of these:
