![]() I will give that car one thing though... it was a damn tank. My stupid ass flipped mine in a ditch because I was going around a corner too quickly. I too will buy another one in the future as a DD because it was expensive to keep on the road. I don't think my 323 will cost as much in the long run and that's saying something. I don't know if you had to deal with any oil leaks or headgasket issues on yours, but mine was all done before I bought it. Garage kept, 1 owner and in nearly perfect shape. My Bimmer isn't half as nice as the STS, but at least I bought a car that can take a corner well. Glad everybody came out of that wreck ok... looks alot worse than mine. I had a large cut on my head and was in the hospital for a few days.

Detailed washing and 2 coats of wax. Going to detail the wheels this evening. Now throwing another clear coat on the grille. Throttle boost switch is coming in today hopefully so that might have to go on tonight as well.

Discovered a leak in the back corner of the VCG...*cough* the new VCG at that.
I loosened all the bolts just a tad, and hand torqued them Corner to corner, and worked my way through all the bolts in that same fashion. I went back with a torque wrench set at 6ftlbs and checked each one that I could get to with the torque wrench. Wiped down the oil leaks in the engine bay,on the garage floor, and took it for a quick spin around the block, and parked again. Hoping that takes care of it.

Took my car for a test spin after flex disk and center sleeve bearing. also shift arm bushings. . . and res delete. hmmm what else. haven't washed her yet but its thunder storming an atrocity right now so i guess not a bad call. Does any one have any opinions and Rear diff bushings? I feel I may leave that to a mechanic friend of mine. I hate getting stuck without the proper tools, can turn a one day job into a "well I'll get back to it next week. "

to SH330CI-
It's the fact that a mechanic hasn't had to touch my car. Along with the help of good friends on occasion, I've done everything so far. It's hard to give my car up and hand over hard earned cash for something that I should be able to do myself. Like always Tools Tools Tools. Need the right ones to get the job done. I've Heard of JG in branford I'm actually right down the street from them. I'll take a ride over there I guess since your not the first person to reccommend them. Thanks for reminding me. |

epoxy worked great on trunk handle. It stays still. I am too scared to pull on it though.
