Intended to clean my idle control valve but found I need a T40 to get it out. I'll pick one of those up tomorrow. Instead I replaced my spark plugs (which fixed a minor rough idle) and changed the air filter. Combine that with the front brake job from yesterday and the great time spent outside in the awesome weather and it was a pretty good weekend

This is fun - but everytime I do it I look over my shoulder wondering if a cop might be chasing me. Kind of takes the fun out of it . . .

After a crazy week, running all over town... I decided to treat her...
Full interior and exterior detailing.
Checked all fluids..., still have another 14k KMs to perform a fluid flush...

Didn't even have to wash my (rear) rims after 3 weeks. Akebono euro pads are virtually dust free.

Found lots of things that were wrong with it that made it ride like ****...
evidently the previous owner knew dick about cars but thankfully i bought it as a project anyways
so was ready for all these repairs

among other things, most notable were
3 blown shocks/struts
leaking diff cover + cracked bushing
various worn bushings throughout rear suspension
no cracks but since already had HPF kit decided to install it anyways

after all this was addressed and done, the car rides like a dream

HPF subframe reinforcement kit
Differential Cover w/ bushings + new diff fluid
Subframe bushings
Subframe bolts + nuts
Trailing Arm bushings
Upper Control Arm Bushings
Lower Control Arm Bushings
Rear Wheel Bearings
ECS Upper Shock mounting kit
RTABs
RTAB urethane spacers
shocks
struts
springs
brake disks
brake pads
Vanos filter
Vanos sealing plate
Oil change
...im sure im forgetting some things

dads doing the actual welding, im not brave or knowledgeable enough to weld on my car

Topaz car so we decided to stick with overall "blue" theme

good thing i anticipated this and had a new diff cover ready to go

this was a fun father/son project however i would not recommend it to some less experienced DIY people
nice

Washed it and waxed it with Mother's FX spray wax. I also treated the trim with Mother's Back to Black.

Ripped off a huge piece of my mtech bumper due to someone leaving a cinder block in the middle of a parking lot. Painful to look at my car right now don't think it's repairable

So sorry to hear, What part of the bumper?

I have the center mesh for an MT2, and other various pieces laying around in the garage I can donate to you, if it would help.

Got her washed and waxed! Then I installed a hoist to lift the hardtop so I can go topless and for easy on/off installation!!!!

Going topless to work tomorrow!!!

Now, I just need to figure out why my key remotes won't unlock nor lock the car or open the trunk?!?!? I checked the fuses and try to reprogram but nothing happens during the reprogramming. The console lock buttom works and I can manually open the doors with the key but not with the remote.

I searched all over the internet and think it might be my rearview with the remote sensor. Any help!?!?

I didn't take a picture cuz honestly I couldn't look at it anymore I had to tie the hanging piece with a shoe lace until I got home. I managed to use the spitter to cover up most of the damage but it still looks bad. I'll take it to a shop tomorrow and see if it's fixable

I wrote an excel sheet with all the mods I want to do on my 330ci. I have so far only done the kidney grilles, changed them to matte black.

Complete 35% Tint
Vinyl Wrap Trims
18" V710 Wheels - Staggered Set Of Four - Gunmetal
Dynavin E46 D99 Android
Center Console - Euro Tray
H&R Sport Cup Suspension Kit
Leather Shift Knob - Automatic Transmissions
Pre-facelift Front Lip

Overall they cost around $3k+ which is why I prioritized them in the excel sheet on which to get first. I'm pretty sure this list will be longer as time goes but I don't really want to change much. I'd like to keep it simple.

Better than a broken nose that requires surgery to put the dislodged broken piece back in place? Then being in pain every time you want to move your face or open you mouth? Dont forget about the "repair" bill from the hospital

But yes, it would hurt to see a cracked windshield too. Maybe instead of a broken noise or a cracked windshield, it comes off smoothly with no issues

Took it up to GMR. Just got back around 4:30am. Lots of people up there. My ears are killing from interior drone. I don't think I'll go back for awhile. But man the M is great up in those mountain roads. Made me fall in love all over again!

That's a pretty cool set up you have in your garage. Did you design that yourself? For your hardtop.
